Bio:

Wendy’s creative flair behind the bar comes from nine years in the restaurant industry, working in top restaurants in both Toronto and Vancouver. Her passion for the hospitality industry began while working in service at night and studying towards a Communications degree with York University by day.

Realizing her passion for great food and cocktails and the entire guest experience saw Wendy change course and focus on a career in hospitality. Starting her Batending career at the renowned Sassafraz in the Yorkville district of Toronto, she became intrigued by the classics and truly realized her passion for the craft of the bar. She then moved on to open Ki Modern Japanese, where her focus behind the bar was fresh cocktails and an extensive emphasis on Sake and single malt whiskeys.

Her love for the West Coast, eventually led her to Vancouver where she furthered her interests in single malts behind the bar at the Blue Water Café. Since joining the Chambar team in February of 2008, Wendy continues to create a unique and classic inspired cocktail program. Her artistry for cocktail development has led her to represent companies such as Giffard, Hennessy and Beefeater. Wendy continues to create beautiful cocktails with a focus on perfect balance and fresh ingredients.
