About Rob Scope:
Robert was born in 1980 in Bedford, England but spent much of his childhood in sunny
Bermuda.
When he moved back to England in 2001, Robert found work behind the bar at his local
pub and honed his skills in other pubs, hotels and restaurants. He found his passion
in food-based establishments and developed his skill for pairing food and drink. Now a
Canadian citizen he has made his home in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Upon his return to Vancouver in 2003, Robert held bartending positions at The Reef, C
Restaurant, NU Restaurant and Cassis Bistro. He was part of the opening crew when
Campagnolo opened its doors in December of 2008, and today he can be found behind
the bar at refuel. Robert is proud to be part of the refuel, Campagnolo and The Cure
family and its emphasis on sourcing local, seasonal ingredients, and plans to continue
building on the company’s current success.
Trained in graphic design at the Art Institute, Robert hopes to one day marry his artistic
talents with his passion for food and drink and industry experience and open his own
restaurant and bar.
