Heather started out as a professional fashion makeup artist in 2000. For more than 10 years her work took her to metropolitans like NYC, London, Paris and Tokyo, exposing her to the sophisticated and technique forward cocktail cultures around the world. Naturally she was fascinated and became a cocktail enthusiast. Every meticulous thought and technique behind each and every step in making cocktails, the proper bar tools used, also the history behind each classic drink, further drove Heather towards the joy of mixing cocktails. With encouragements from close friends and family, she launched her bartending career in the summer of 2010, taking baby steps towards achieving, hopefully one day not too far from now, mastery of the craft.

She applies her life theory of “simplicity, balance, sincerity and fun” into her drinks and behind the wood. Still a rookie and forever a student of the craft, she shows her eagerness to grow as a professional bartender through her work ethics, cheerful personality, sense of humor, and active participation in competitions. Her hard work has also won her a spot as one of the 9 chosen apprentices of Tales of the Cocktail on Tour Vancouver in March 2011, and again in same year one of the 50 apprentices around the world for Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans. She continues to cherish the good times, great new industry friends, new knowledge and numerous encouragements she received ‘til this day. These days besides finding her dragging her makeup kit around the city, you may also find Heather pouring stirring and shaking behind the bars of Cin Cin Ristorante + Bar on Robson Street Vancouver and Shangri-La Lobby Lounge, showcasing her passion one drink at a time.
