Art of the Cocktail 2010
This coming weekend, October 16-18 in Victoria BC, the most charismatic food and beverage personalities across Canada will join forces for the Second Annual Art of the Cocktail Festival.
This three day festival incorporates tasting rooms, public and industry workshops, spirited dinners and parties.

Special Workshops: Lauren Mote of the Refinery will be teaching a Cocktail Kitchen public workshop on October 17 at 2:45pm with special guest Chef Jonathan Chovancek providing canapes for the cocktail pairing, and a Social Media industry workshop on October 18 at 3:00pm "Build Your Own Brand". Pairing cocktails to food just as you would wine is not as complicated as you think - matching the weight, sweetness, and acidity between food and spirits is just the beginning. Adding subtle nuances of food product to cocktails above and beyond egg whites and fruit juices, like vegetable waters, purees, preserves and syrups allow you to have complete control over a successful cocktail flight with dinner - appropriate for bartenders and the "at home cocktailians".
