As the holiday season is quickly approaching, so is New Years Eve 2011. The Refinery is proud to partner with its resident musical genius, DJ Eric Carver.

This private-ticketed event will be one of the hottest places to be when we celebrate our successes of the past year, and look forward to a bright and properous 2011!

About DJ Eric Carver

Eric Carver has been crushing dancefloors since 2002, and quickly gained a reputation as having a very unique style of mixing, using long, smooth transitions to blend not only individual tracks, but genres as well. Versatility has always been one of Eric’s strengths, and while in the past he has entertained crowds grooving to House, Oldschool Hip Hop and Downtempo, he is now a leader in Vancouver’s House scene.

Eric is currently the premier resident DJ for one of Vancouver’s premier promotional companies, T.R.U.S.T. Inc, and has held numerous residencies at clubs all over Vancouver's downtown core. He has also played at many high profile events in Vancouver, including being the official DJ for the 2009 & 2010 CLUBVIBE VANCOUVER NIGHTLIFE AWARDS, the official DJ for the 2009 CANADIAN JUNO AWARDS AFTERPARTY JAM SESSION ROOM, and playing for TEAM CANADA’S OLYMPIC ATHLETES at Vancouver’s CAN-FUND events during the 2010 Winter Games. Eric has opened for and played with internationally acclaimed artists such as Pete Tong (UK), DJ Dove (USA), numerous Hed Kandi DJs (UK), Martjin Ten Velden (UK), Chris Samba (Hong Kong), Mark Knight (UK), Felix Da Housecat (USA), and twice for the legendary Talvin Singh (UK), among others.

In 2008, Eric took his Djing career to Central America and played two shows in Guatemala City, Guatemala. And last year Eric travelled to Sri Lanka where he headlined an all night rave at the inaugural Feel Negombo ’09 festival, which took place in Negombo. He also dropped an epic 5 hour set the following night at the infamous Amusuem Nightclub, located in the heart of downtown Columbo.

The past year has been Eric’s busiest to date. In 2009, Eric played over 150 shows locally, and during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, Eric played 31 shows in 18 days, making him one of Vancouver’s most booked and sought-after DJs.

Having played at several different types of venues and events has given Eric the experience and ability necessary to entertain people of all ages and musical tastes, bringing them together to love and dance as one collective group.
